Hand Held Multi-Tasker
I love this tool – so many uses, so easy to clean. It comes with a mini processor, whisk and immersion blender. I use it almost everyday.
Today I used it to whip up baby puree, salad dressing and cupcakes (the wet ingredients).
I love that it has 9 speeds of sheer cooking power, but I have to be careful because with all that power sometimes a mess follows.
Silicon Heart Shaped Muffin Pan
What is better than silicon muffin tins? You don’t need those pesky muffin papers, super easy clean up and how cute are the hearts? I picked this one up super cheap at Target. Now I need to find a couple more fun shapes to add to the collection.
I was dreaming of Paris today, so I thought I would whip up one of my favorite bistro salads to go with lunch.
1 TBSP dijon mustard
1/2 TBSP honey
2 TBSP Cider Vinegar
1/4 C Grapeseed Oil (or canola)
1 lb shredded carrot (I am lazy – I buy pre-shredded from TJ’s)
Handful of raisins
Handful of toasted of walnuts
Handful of diced apple
Salt & Pepper to taste
In a small blender or food processor combine dressing ingredients.
In a large bowl toss together salad ingredients.
Right before serving – toss dressing with Salad.
Voila! Fancy bistro salad with little effort!
** To toast walnuts – grab a frying pan, toss in your nuts and heat over medium heat. Keep a close eye on them, they go from toasted to burnt in about a second. Shake the pan often during toasting process.
